Wine Review: Miranda Lambert Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Sweet White Wine in 2022

Miranda Lambert is a goddess among country musicians, and it comes as no surprise that she is represented in the wine industry too.

Her parents, Rick and Beverly Lambert, started Red55 winery, which now houses a signature wine collection in the name of their daughter. Her sweet white wine titled Crazy Ex-Girlfriend holds up to her caliber of goddess.

Miranda Lambert Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Sweet White Wine Review:

Red55 Winery has a variety of mouth watering wines. Each of their wine titles appropriately named after Miranda and/or her work. For example, their sweet red wine:

“This wine exhibits the attributes of Miranda Lambert. Simply put, it means the most beautiful. With her true southern raisin’, she epitomizes southern hospitality and beauty while being a bit on the wild side. This sweet red is a mouthful of ripe cherry and raspberry that will tingle the palate. The finish is so silky smooth, it leaves you wanting more.” – Red55

As well, the winery’s name itself is reminiscent of Miranda’s first pick up truck, Red55.

Other Red55 Wine Titles Include:

  • Kerosene: A crisp Pinot Grigio with a slightly sweet finish.
  • White Liar: A Chardonnay titled after Miranda’s 2009 hit single “White Liar”
  • Red55: A dark red Cabernet Sauvignon boasting a mellow berry aroma.
  • Electric Pink: This White Zinfandel is a semi-sweet crowd pleaser.
  • County Road 233: A rather robust Merlot perfect for pairing alongside steak and pasta.
  • Platinum: Gold-medal winning Almond Sparkling Wine referred to as “OH MY GOSH” champagne.

Similarly to the other wine’s named above, Miranda Lambert Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Sweet White Wine is charmingly named after Miranda’s song titled “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend.” Each of Red55 winery’s wines are so wonderfully named. It makes me want to try each one and enjoy every last sip.

Contrary to the tough, gun designed label, this white wine is sweet, and delicate in flavors. Blended with Chenin Blanc, and Orange Muscat grapes, it is a California favorite sure to win over your taste buds.

With aromatics of raisins, honey, and ripe pear, the Miranda Lambert Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Sweet White Wine pairs perfectly with desserts.

Chenin Blanc Fact: This grape likes rot! “When infected by noble rot, which also lowers yields and adds and intensifies certain flavors, the wines develop less overtly floral aroma notes but more depth and layers.” – Wikipedia

Don’t forget about Sunday brunch, either! This white wine is best sipped on a patio with fresh fruit, fruit-glazed chicken, and even Asian inspired dishes.

Muscat Grapes Fact: Muscat grapes almost always have a sweet floral aroma. The colors of this grape grow in a variety of white, to yellow, orange, and to pink and near black, as well! This type of grape comes in over 200 variations. That’s a lot of Muscat grapes, worldwide.

Recipe Time!

As mentioned above, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Sweet White Wine is paired fabulously with desserts, as well as brunch. Half of a grapefruit can serve both as a serving of fruit (healthy!), and a light flavorful dessert (yum!).

Here is recipe via finecooking.com for dessert grapefruit that you can dive into while enjoying your delicious Red55 wine.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup honey, preferably orange blossom
  • 2 Tbs. orange liqueur, preferably Grand Marnier
  • 1/4 cup salted pistachios, coarsely chopped and toasted
  • 2 pink grapefruit, cut in half crosswise and scored between segments and around the edges
  • 1/2 cup créme fraîche
  • 2 Tbs. packed dark brown sugar
  • 3 Tbs. thinly sliced fresh mint leaves

Directions:

Step 1- Combine the honey and orange liqueur in a small bowl. Brush half of the mixture evenly over the cut side of the grapefruit halves.

Step 2- Heat a cast-iron grill pan on high heat until water instantly evaporates when sprinkled on the pan. Carefully place the grapefruit halves, cut side down, in the pan and cook until grill marks form, about 4 minutes.

Step 3- Transfer the grapefruit halves to serving plates, drizzle with the remaining honey mixture, and sprinkle with the dark brown sugar and pistachios. Garnish with dollops of crème fraîche and the fresh mint leaves, and serve.

Serve this delicious treat to guests and they will never look at grapefruit the same way again! Brunch, dessert, and wine make for the ideal relaxing event on any sunny Sunday.

Wine serving tip: White wine is best served slightly chilled, but don’t shove that bottle in your fridge! If white wine is served too cold it will lose its aromatics, and the reverse is not good either. Served too warm, white wine becomes flat and quite frankly – a little gross. Although the best method for the perfect drinking temperature is to keep the wine in a proper wine fridge, but that is not possible for many of us, so look for wine chilling buckets, drops, and other, more inexpensive, wine chilling options.

Visit Amazon to grab a 750ml bottle of the Miranda Lambert Crazy Ex-Girlfriend Sweet White Wine for $18.00 and seduce yourself, again, and again!
